Streetkids Tanzania <\/h1>

Streetkids International e.V.<\/strong> is a children’s aid organisation that cares for the poorest of the poor in Tanzania. The organisation builds and maintains orphanages and educational institutions in Tanzania, near Dar es Salaam, the seat of the government. The aim of this initiative is to provide a home for Tanzanian orphans from underprivileged backgrounds, enabling them a better future.The youngsters are looked after by local staff and volunteers and receive schooling in addition to accommodation.<\/p>\n

The organisation currently manages four orphanages for children in need and a school in Mwandege, about one and a half hours from Dar es Salaam. A further orphanage and a Montessori kindergarten are under construction and should be completed shortly. Additionally, the organisation has set up workshops to enable these young people to train as carpenters or tailors after they have finished school.<\/p>\n

Streetkids International e.V. is a registered non-profit and charitable organisation based in Frankfurt am Main, where it has also been listed in the register of associations since 2001.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n
